Hi, I have been buying phones from the O2 shop in Skipton north Yorkshire for 15 years and today I went to buy a new phone which the young lad just could not be bothered, his enthusiasm was void. He would not let me buy a phone because I didn't have my passport with me for I and I do not have a driving licence. I never raised my voice once yet because I was asking him how can you do this, he said I was rude when I never even raised my voice. It was a really bad experience that had me in tears. All I want is a replacement phone as my existing one has water damaged and will not start

Personally if that happened to me, I would be on the phone and ask to speak to the manager. You may find you have a different experience when you go back.
You could always buy one online though, via the shop https://www.o2.co.uk/shop
I will also mention our community managers here, they may want to feed this poor experience back to the store @Martin-O2 @Marjo @LukasB ?

Hi, i am wanting to buy a new phone but when i try to buy one online, they want to send a verification code to my phone but my phone will not switch on and i cant ring customer service either so how can i buy or upgrade my contract? i have been without a phone since the incident at the shop. I do hope you passed on my complaint as the lad in the shop told me i couldnt complain because he heard me being rude to the other assisant, whom offered me the complaints form. as i was waiting outside the shop for the form, the other lad puled himself away from his own customer, came outside the shop where i was stood waiting, to tell me. I havent had an appology yet.
