need to get in touch with o2 some how my phone has been disconnected over Christmas due not being able to pay my bill due to personal reasons I have no way of getting in touch with anyone to explain my situation, the numbers i have tried are automated and cut me off I need to actually speak to a person

You need to speak to the Payment Management team @KimWood 

They have an 0800 number you can call using Skype (how to do this in the guide below) which is 0800 902 0217.

Alternatively you can message o2 using social media:

on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
