Hi @Anonymous All the info about moving to O2 here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

Re Pac code...you will need to get that from Virgin

Requesting a switch

Before we can transfer your number, we'll need your PAC. This is a code made up of three letters and six numbers. You can get this from your current provider and it will be valid for 30 days. Let us know your PAC when you place your order.

Once you've ordered and received your temporary O2 number, fill in the keep my number form. Your temporary number can be found in your O2 confirmation email or sim pack. You'll also need the number you want to keep.

Forms sent by 5:30pm will be completed the next working day. Forms sent after 5:30pm will be completed within two working days. You'll receive two text messages, one to confirm the date of your switch and one to remind you on the day.

Transfer your number to O2

To port your phone number to O2 you require a PAC code. To get your PAC code, follow the instructions below:

Please phone your current mobile phone network provider Virgin Mobile on telephone number 0845 6000 789 (or 789 from your Virgin Mobile phone) and ask them for your PAC code...

Virgin Mobile are obliged to supply you with your PAC within 2 working days. This PAC code is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. You should order your new mobile phone package online from O2 - use the link we have provided to ensure that you get the very latest deal and special offers from O2.

When completing your order online with O2insert the PAC code into the appropriate part of the online form.

Note: if you are ordering your new mobile phone with The Carphone Warehouse insert the PAC code into the appropriate part of the online form / shopping basket. Even if you do not have your PAC code when ordering your phone from The Carphone Warehouse, you can still purchase your new phone and transfer your number after your purchase by calling your new network, O2, and telling them your PAC code.

And you're done! Your new provider, O2, will provide you with a temporary mobile phone number for use until your number transfers over successfully (this may take a few days).

It is important that you do not cancel your mobile phone contract with your current provider, Virgin Mobile, until you have your PAC code and have given this to your new mobile phone network provider, O2, or you may not be able to transfer your number across and may also incur a connection fee with O2.
