moving from 20gb to 30gb 12 month deal before end of contract

if i take the 12 month sim only 20GB data deal and find i need more data can i move to 30GB before end of 12 months for free or do i have to wait?

Yes as you are effectively upgrading. You will probably have to wait 3 months though.

(I have a 12 month sim only and after 3 months the option to upgrade is offered.

You can change you tariff upward once every month if you wish.
