My mobile service over the past months has simply fallen of the scale.

two bar phone coverage

no internet coverage

poor reception 

no wifi link

What handset are you using, as it sounds as though you could have a faulty phone.

Have you also checked https://status.o2.co.uk for any issues in your area

WiFi is nothing to do with o2, unless you are trying to use o2 wifi
