Sorry for repeating the question but I can't remember what I did last year when I arrived in Lanzarote and got a welcome text but data did not work only wi-fi? I can't remember if changed data to idata or o2 data and which worked. I would like to be prepared this year please.

Change APN to mobile.o2.co.uk

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Before you go, contact O2 and ask them to add the iData bolt on to your account.

After that's been done, reset your network settings and your phone will work fine abroad without changing anything.

I'm saying that O2 need to add the iData bolt on to your account.

You will then not need to change your apn.

BOLT ON.

You need O2 to add the bolt on to your account. You currently do not have it.

Leave your apn alone.

Try asking for data for iPhone @phammond53

Customer service is pathetic these days so you'll need to keep trying unfortunately.
