Yes just call customer service to migrate your number to new contract if staying on o2 network. 
If changing network you'll need your pac Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update]

I have obtained a PAC from O2 even though I intend to stay with O2.

When you say to contact customer service which one, O2 or The company from whom  I bought the new mobile?

You do not use your PAC if staying with O2 though. That is only for moving networks.

A call to O2 customer service to migrate your number to the new contract is all that is needed.
