Hi

I tend to buy the handset that I want sim free at the full price. Then I sign up to a sim only tariff.

It means that I can change the handset whenever I want and don't have a high monthly bill. I also get more mins and text/data than I need. Pay as you go would be better value for me but I would never top up, I would just put it off. The £20 on&on tariff works for me.

Depends on your needs, the tariffs available to you, how much you are able to spend, whether you pass a credit check etc
