internet may not be available on Galaxy S8+

Hi

 

I have just upgraded to a Galaxy S8+

 

When I try to connect to wifi I am always fetting  "internet may not be available"....even though connection is fine.

Could be any number of things causing this.
Is it only on one wifi connection, or all?
Do you know if connecting to 2.4 or 5ghz?
Check the ip address being used by the phone and other devices connected to same wifi in case of conflicts.....
Try forgetting the connection on your phone and reboot the router to clear the DNS cache, before reconnecting.
Finally, it could be a faulty device, so if nothing fixes it, take it back for an exchange.

All other devices could access the internet.

Rebooted router - Did not resolve issue

Set Static IP address on my Galaxy S8+ and that has resolved the issue.
