iPhone data roaming in Spain

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi all, I have an iPhone with a pay monthly sim and my problem is that it's data roaming doesn't work at all (can't connect to data service, voice and texting works perfectly).

I am in Spain now and the roaming works perfectly fine on the same sim but with an Andeoid phone when I was in the same town a few months ago.

Any advice to get this work?

Hi @Anonymous I can only suggest you try and do a manual search for a network that works properly for you.

It seems to be working on 2G. Just check your settings to make sure you have 3G enabled. ...

Thanks for your quick help @Cleoriff. I tried it now but it seems I can only connect to Movistar, whose parent is the same as O2, Telefonica...and still doesn't connect me to their data network.... I'm stuck....

Have you turned OFF EU roaming?

I go to Spain frequently and use Movistar with my Samsung phone and never have a problem. Just check your  settings against those shown in the link...make sure they are all correct....https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple-iOS-Devices-iPhone-iPad/Connecting-iPhone-to-Data-Services/m-p/5...

If it's just data then use a local sim or wifi where possible
