Hi there,

A few months after I received my sim only plan for my iPhone 13 all text messages started coming up with undelivered. I would continue to send the message multiple times, always coming up undelivered. However, some of the messages were actually received and the recipients would become annoyed with the multiple message coming through. I stopped messaging and used alternative apps. I’ve just tried to send someone a text who doesn’t have ‘apps’ and again it’s undelivered. Please help.

This is due to a change in iOS 15 and the way in which it handles delivery messages.

Unfortunately, O2 don't confirm to the same standards as most other networks with regard to this, so the phone see's them as undelivered, when they actually are.

The only way to get an accurate delivery message is to start all your sms messages with *0# which will generate an O2 delivery report but the phone will still report it as undelivered, which can be ignored.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this
