Hi, why are o2 selling the iPad Pro on contract with a tariff of 100 texts per month, when you can only use the data side of the plan.

It appears after chatting to o2, I can not use the iMessage on the iPad Pro, as the sim according to them is data only.

This isn't made clear when taking out the contract.

@cwmparc

iMessage will work fine but you won't be able to use sms.

The texts are included for devices that are sms capable as a bonus.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@MI5  A bonus for what though, as it seems pointless giving 100 texts per month, when they can't be used with the device it was supplied with.

But, thank you for the answer.

As I said, a bonus for capable devices.
The same configuration is sold with Android tablets which are capable of SMS.
