I'm a new customer who has just got a new sim today which has a new number. My PAC was given when I ordered and I've been going round in circles for the past hour trying to speak to anyone to find out what is going on with porting my number.

OMG!!

Your support system is dreadful. What a way to treat a new customer. It's a disgrace! Seriously regretting my decision to move to o2.

You will get a text with a date on once you account is activated fully,

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

You obviously have never had the displeasure of speaking to Vodafone or BT(EE), and oblivious to the fact we are still in a pandemic which means staff numbers are low...

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

For reference, I've tried phone support and your website. When I do the transfer SIM I get this error:

https://www.screencast.com/t/2aaMXPYbah

So I call 202 and round and round we go again!

Thanks for your reply. No, never dealt with them. I was on virgin and if I had a problem I just got onto a live chat with a human and not AI.

I received a text saying: Good news this sim is already active. Turn your phone off and back on and you'll be good to go.

I've done that 3 times though and its still the new number, not my old one.

According to the first reply above, social media. Good luck. I've been going round in circles for hours.

Update: posted on twitter twice, no response. Send a message on FB and got quite a quick response. Sent my phone no details and PAC as requested about 30 mins ago and currently waiting for their reply.

Update: I think i was getting excited too soon. Still no reply after 90 mins from my response on FB messenger.

So up to now, I installed my new sim at 13:30 and its now 21:30 and after trying every single possible way of contacting o2 I'm still on my temp number and no idea what is going on!

Welcome to o2!

myo2, broken:

o2 migrate number thing.jpg

Error when trying via the text.
Phone support is a waste of time. I keep going in a loop and then the AI just says BYE.
Live chat, well, I'll leave that there.
Facebook messenger, answered then didn't respond
Twitter, no response. 2 tweets and a DM

I've gotta say, o2, you've won the
"I've failed to get in touch with customer support after using all possible channels and taking 11 hours 30 mins" award. Nobody has ever won that from me before!

What an absolute joke!
