how do i get my deposit back??

I paid £100 deposit on my phone and they said i could get it back in a cheque....HOWW?? 😧

Depends on when you made the deposit. Usually its about 3 months. To get it back, give CS a call and tell them you want it back in a cheque near the time. Given the experience of past forum members, you may need to push them on it.

Some have said that if you don't ask for a cheque, it can be applied as a credit to your phone account.

The deposit will be automatically credited to your mobile phone account after you have paid your 3rd bill. You can then either leave it there so you don't have to pay a bill for a while, depending on what you spend a month, or you can call up and ask for a refund by cheque or bacs. You shouldn't have to fight for it, it's very easy to do ( for the advisor).

I paid a £100 deposit for my previous handset and got it credited to my account after the third bill payment. I called O2 just before the third payment was due to be made and they asked whether I wanted it credited to my account or sent to me as a cheque. I had my account credited and had no mobile bills for 3 months slight_smile

Request after you have paid your 3rd bill and it will be returned on your fourth bill.

It will show on your 4th bill as a credit, if you have made all payments on time and in full. 


When it shows you need to call o2 and ask for the money to be refunded, the payment management should be able to deal with this for you on 0800 902 0217
