I applied for a phone contract last night and have received lots of legal documents and a welcome email but nothing shows in my O2. I also have an email saying welcome on board. do I assume this is being processed or not ? I've had bad credit in the past so I don't want to count my chickens although my credit is miles better now. any advice ?

Have you clicked the links in the email to confirm acceptance of T&C's?
Your order will also be dependent on phone stock levels.
You can always call CS to check your order status http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you only put the application in last night, it will probably take more than a few hours to filter through the system, but a call to customer service, as @MI5 has suggested won't hurt anything.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

From everything you say it does look as if you have been accepted. Have you checked in My O2 to see if your order is showing ? http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

It takes at least 24 hours to update your order status in MyO2.
