getting charged for mms to 000000000001234

[ Edited ]

I'm new to o2 and saw this on my first bill:

08:09
000000000001234
Picture
£0.416

After I bit of investigation turns out I had sent a text to a contact using their email address rather than their mobile number. This triggered the charge. Lesson learnt!

As you said @Cyclopic. A lesson learnt.  (they are now a total of 55p to send)

Yes it will do that.
Also helps to turn off subject line in iMessage settings.
