Hi, does anyone know how the first bill work? I have only today received my new sim from o2 (ordered yesterday) and I already have a bill dated today for the full monthly plan. Sureley my first bill should be the 23rd August not today. I havent even had a chance to put the sim in my phone! Thanks in advance

You always pay a month in advance, hence the immediate bill.

I've copied and pasted this as is on my frist bill. Does this look like it is a month in advance or does it look as if I am being charged up to the 24th July, which is the date I have actually received the sim? The amount is the full monthly payment i have signed up to.

Yes, it's for a couple of days from ordering sum and then a full month.

Your next bill will be the full tariff amount on aug 24th.
