extra charges on my bill

Hello, on my latest bill i have been charged extra on my text messages. i dont know why because i have unlimted texts and i havent text anything else that may have charged me. 

can someone help me please ?

It seems to me that more and more people are more savvy now and it's occasionally people who are first moving to a smartphone that are caught out on this.

Personally I don't send emoticons unless I'm Using iMessage.

The phones now have built in emoticons in their keyboards can cause this too.

Yes I got caught out at the 4.3 upgrade. Pressed send on a message without realising about the new smilys.

Paid it cos I did send it but was privately miffed

I was the same you get charged for full stops commas smileys if over they are counted as mms they don't tell you this when buying contract I am writing to local paper about this to let other people know I was told I had unlimited texts which is not true only aloud so many in 1 text before they charge you also mine is monthly contract I have to separate bills which is very confusing

The info regarding mms charges is available on the site via your myo2 where your tariff charges are broken down.

You may have two bills if your on the Refresh Tariff. One air time plan and one phone plan.

Let us know how you get in with your complaint to your local paper.
