just after advice please.....if i have mobile data in settings switched on permanantly just for messages and checking facebook will it use 250 mb a month

Facebook can use huge amounts of data. Videos and photos that people post are very data intensive. Depending on how much "checking" you do I would say 250 wasn't enough.

@Anonymous For what you wish to do I suggest that you would need at least 1GB or more

Definitely not enough as army apps you have will be constantly updating in the background whether you are using them or not.

Go for a tariff with at least 1GB as it will work out cheaper than constantly adding data bolt ons.
