my contract has been cancelled, i did not know this as my dad had cancelled it. however i want to continue the contract but to transfer the contract to my direct debit? my contract ended two days ago, will i be able to continue this contract with a cheaper tariff? but to keep the same phone

If your dad canceled the contract, it must have been in his name, so the contract wasn't yours to continue or cancel. You'll have to start a new one, if that's what you want to do.

You can keep the phone but you'll need to get a sim only tariff or a pay as you go.

If you want to take a contract in your name you'll have to pass the credit check.

Hi,

 

 

I believe you'll need to open up your own contract now that the original contract has been terminated.

 

The phone remains the property of the account holder.

It's a check carried out to ensure you can pay the monthly contract fees, if not you could go pay as you go.

the contract was under my dads name as i was not 18, but now i am, i want the contract to be under my name, i don't want to start a new one as i want to keep my number and to continue with the contract which was ended.

Unless your Dad transferred the number to a PAYG sim card you may have lost the number. You are going to have to call O2 and ask if they can reallocate the number for you but it is going to have to be a new contract in your name assuming you pass the credit check.
