The only way you can change it is to call customer service and ask them if they can manually change it for you.
Tariff changes do normally take place on the anniversary date but a polite request has been known to be successful.

When I was on PAYG I did exactly that @jonsie (In fact for various reasons, I did it three times) Always changed it for me with immediate effect....

I find it helps to speak to someone and I've had occasion to do it twice. Live chat may well be able to help but would I trust them to actually do it....
