how do I change my payment date to 1st of month

I don't think you can anymore I got declined last time I attempted.

Way I got around it was to cancel my DD and to pay it online when the bill came in.

I'm terrible with managing by bank accounts so I find it easier to pay when I see the bill:)

Contact customer service on 202 and tell them your preferred date although it's a couple of years since I changed mine. Shouldn't be a problem though.
