You do need to call customer service to both end your contract and cancel your insurance. Call 202 free from your mobile. It can't be done online I'm afraid.

If you are wanting to keep your mobile number then you can log into the online Live Chat facility and ask for your PAC Code.
Give this PAC Code to the alternative Network within 30 days and this will then cancel your o2 Contract. You will then receive your final bill followed later by a zero bill.

If your not wanting to keep using your number then you have no choice but to call o2 or write to them.
