calls/texts to tenerife from UK on Pay & Go

I have just bought Pay & Go O2 sim £10 bundle ..

 

Should I be able to call/text to a mobile in tenerife ( +34xxxxx ) number ..

 

I have tried but get 'Can't send ' on texts and calling takes me to the the Pay as you go top up service ..

No you need credit.
Bundle allowances are for uk calls only.

call costs for international calls etc can be found here http://international.o2.co.uk/internationaltariffs/calling_abroad_from_uk

Like @MI5 said, alas.

 

Now if that number in Tenerife was a +44.... number, no problem.

 

Or if your number here in the UK was a +34.... number, also free.

 

"Free" calling/texting/data in the EU zone only applies when you are roaming, y'see, @disco-kid, and then only for a certain time period not to exceed (60 days in a year, I think?).
