My nephew has just landed in Tunisia on holiday with his girlfriend. They both have mobiles. He wants to know what prefix code he needs to dial to call her phone.
I think its 00 216 followed by her full number, or do you drop the 0?

If they are both uk mobile they don't need a country code. Just dial the number as you would in the UK. Be aware of international charges though. Tunisia isn't cheap for roaming costs.

Interesting, as the reason I asked is that when he tried to call her just by the basic number the line went dead.
Thanks for the help

Just a suggestion here. I find when abroad and am phoning, the calls always connect if taken from my phonebook/contact list on the sim. The only time I have any problem is if I manually key in the phone number.
Then, the phone either goes dead or says number not recognised

OK thanks.
I just sent him a text to get him to turn off data roaming. It's up to £40 already.
