call limits and a block on calls when monthly limit is reached

have searched around and not found an answer to this ...

is there any way of setting a limit (either time or money) on any phone call made? so that, for example, you need to 'press X on keypad" to continue once you reach your notional block.

thanks

john

It all comes down to accepting responsibility for your own actions, in my opinion.  The way you use your phone, the length of your calls and where/when you make them can only be controlled by one person - you.

yes, if i'm going to hit my allowance limit and then start to be charged at the standard rate such that an 'undisconnected' call to the person sat next to me in our car is going to rack up a £30+ bill

To be honest o2 are in a no win situation here. Some customers would say yes stone would say no.

Like all companies they make a decision and put that in their t&c's. It is impossible to please everyone all the time with everything.

That is o2's process. If it is not suitable for the OP then they have to make choices on their supplier and will need to check their processes to make sure they meet the OP's needs.
