Hello , my name is Gary and i phoned my PAC code to o2 on Saturday midday. It has been 48hrs and my number has not changed to my old Virgin Mobile number. How long exactly is this likely to take.

It wont happen over the weekend so should be today or tomorrow. Just keep rebooting the phone.
If it hasn't happened by tomorrow get in touch with customer services Guide: How to find help & contact O2

It takes 2 working days so I would expect the transfer to happen early Wednesday morning.
Once your virgin SIM turns off, keep rebooting the O2 SIM. That part of the process is isuall 2 to 4 hours.

Many thanks to you all for your replies to my question. I have just contacted o2 by on-line chat and have been told that the transfer of my number should be complete by 6pm this evening..

Good luck but I'm a little wary of what live chat tells you. I prefer to speak to someone with account and porting issues.
