hi every1, about 4 month ago i have signed up for a 24 month business contract from o2. last week my contract has been cancelled by o2 for breachig the terms and conditioned which i think is unfair and i have given a bill of 540 pound.

breachig the terms and conditioned is for using calling card numbers which are simple call (0208) , i didnt know anything about it and i havnt received any kind of warnings either via email, text or letters. now they are saying they cant do anything and asking me to pay bill for

next 20 months left on my contract which i am not using. in this economic downturn i am strugling to pay this huge bill. can someone give me a advise what to do, please would be appriciated . thanks

Unfortunately anything that goes against their T&Cs are grounds for termination of contract.

hi, yes its a london based calling card service and is not free. i have to pay them to buy call time. my point is , if its  breach of term  n con then why i didnt get any warnings and i told them it is a simple human mistake and won t be happen again in my contract terms but still o2 dont want me to reconnect.

thanks, thats my point to , and as a general consumer(All the possiblities will be covered, if you're using another service to make reduced price calls, they could say it's fraudulent use of their network.)this quote on TnCS are beyond my understanding and bit complicated, unless u come across such things.

My confusion is:

How its possible that calling a landline calling-card number is a fraudulent use of their network ??? They gave us free minutes to call local numbers and this is what we are doing ....

Moreover they should mention this clearly in their T&Cs and ask for call charges to those numbers rather than say you are breaching the contract ....

This means O2 is really a bad bad service provider .... I used 3 before for 3+ years and made thousands minutes of these calls during those 2 full contracts and nothing happened.

I don't understand it either.... O2 sell calling cards in their shops for this very purpose. Hence our surprise that this was "all" it was that caused the concern....

There isn't any O2 representative in this forum to respond to it ? Along-with giving information about where this thing is mentioned OR which point from TnCS is covering this.

I haven't had any problem yet (I am not the original thread starter) but just want to clarify this so that it shouldn't happen to me also as OP; as I do use my O2 monthly minutes to make calls on calling-card numbers.

It seems to be a very tricky part of your contract. I think maybe writing a letter to O2 would be the answer here as there doesn't seem to be a direct clause in the T&Cs. At least you get the definitive answer in writing.
