I read that ofcom state that 0345 and 0800 numbers should be free from mobiles but, I’m still being charged for using 0345 numbers. Is this possible?

All 080 numbers are completely free and 03 numbers come from your allowances or are charged at the standard call rate if you are on classic PAYG or do not have any minutes allowance remaining.

You can find any alternate numbers on SAY NO but also look on the website of those you want to call for their overseas number. That's always charged at local rates from your allowance.
