I've been bought a mobile (another provider) as a present & need my PAC code.
Seached and found this link: http://www.o2.co.uk/search/results?selected_categories=help&selected_types=html&selected_types=Video...
The article said " Want to keep your mobile number? You'll need a PAC code
Whether you are looking to move from another network to O2, move from O2 Pay & Go to O2 Pay Monthly or you want to leave O2 - keeping your number is simple". The link was http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number#qs.
Some clear instructions there but no mention at all of what to do when "or you want to leave O2".
Went to "Contact us" and am now fed up of
"Give us a moment
We're just checking to see if there's an available agent".
Ofcom says that PACs "have to be issued immediately over the phone or within a maximum of two hours by text message" - I rang cs on 202 (per another thread) and got 'number unobtainable'. Made more unsuccessful phone calls and I've now run out of credit on my PASG.
Is there an email address for CS, please?

0344 8090222 wasn't recognised.
Always nice to smile
However, strange that the number is not recognised - must be something up with O2 phones today as a few are complaining of long waiting times for CS.....

Thanks Cleoriff. The first page is a general "how to get a PAC code for upgrading, changing your contract, joining us or leaving us" but the link from there doesn't mention 'leaving us' at all, nor is there another link for that.
I've tried the 0344 number again and at last it rang but it's "very busy and there will be a delay". So I can't phone by mobile or landline, can't email or text nor can I LiveChat. I'll just have to stay sane by looking at MI5's icon photo!

Good morning all. Probably a little early for you?
I tried again last night - the sign-in box was greyed out so I took your advice MI5 and returned just now. I followed the same route, clicked on the Pay & Go, option again and ended up at the Help page [ http://www.o2.co.uk/help] but this time the window for Live Chat was on the Right side, not the Left.
Got it going but Live Chat then said "Thanks for getting in touch. To get an answer to your Pay & Go question, you'll need to click here for our online Help Centre". I clicked on the link and was returned to the page I'd just left! [http://www.o2.co.uk/help]
A helpful Shabana there posted she couldn't give me my PAC but gave me what I hope will be the definitive answer:
"To get your PAC code you’ll just need to call 4445 (25p per call) and Free only if you’re on Simplicity/Pay & Go Go Go & Big Bundle tariff from your mobile or 0344 809 0222 (standard rates from a UK fixed line) and pick option 3 then option 2.
We are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday."
Roll on 10am. I'll return afterwards. Thanks all for your help.

It's not too early for us at all but I certainly hope you can get this sorted later on....You have been pushed 'all round the houses' @Anonymous in order to get your PAC which is a relatively simple process usually.
I have to say I actually thought Live Chat could issue a PAC for all customers (contract and payg)...so it was probably a little early for them! Good luck later on

Just spoken to a helpful Jimmy who's given me the PAC code.
I'll shortly post my next SOS - I have to retrieve any contact numbers from the SIM card and transfer them to the mobile. I'm sure I also saved to the cloud so here goes . . . .
Thanks all for your help - much appreciated.

You should have saved them to the phone and automatically backed them up to the cloud...

Hi Jonsie.
I'm sure you're right but in the circumstances (http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/How-do-I-transfer-contact-numbers-from-my-SIM-ca... I didn't know I should.
Looking out of my window only a few miles away from the highest M-way junction in the UK, it looks like a bad January day - dark, windy, heavy cloud and lots of rain, so I suppose if I have to input every number it'll help pass the time.
