anniversary top up

Anonymous
Not applicable

I bought a phone and £10 top up last month, I hardly used the phone and didnt top up this month I believed the credit would roll over but its zero balance. Do I need to top up every single month or lose the previous months credit? Thank you for any advice I don't really want to put money on it every month.

The credit buys an allowance which you can use for a month. If you just want credit to stay on your phone you need to switch to a different tariff.
Big talker or international sim will retain your credit for you. http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

Thanks, I've had a look at both tariffs terms a bit confusing, clauses say still have anniversary dates to ensure regular top ups. And expensive call rates, payg mobile isn't as simple as it used to be. 😕

Thanks for your help anyway.

PAYG isn't what it used to be as far as O2 is concerned, however, they have a sister network called giffgaff which offers a more traditional payg experience https://giffgaff.com/

Simple enough compared to the days where you got no allowances and paid for everything. There again we use phones and their features much more these days Smiley Frustrated

I'm also a giffgaff user, they're tariffs are good as a back up phone. Just don't expect data that's fast enough to stream with, but If it's for calls and texts then you'll be better off!

Which does, of course, vary with location. I can't stream "jack" on my 02 data in my home town inspite of full bars of 3g, but 5 miles on I get 20+ mbps on 4g......
