Will there be another bill if I cancel within 30 days of starting monthly contract

Hi, I took out a monthly contract and paid for the phone outright up front plus a month airtime in advance. If I cancel the contract within the first 30 days will I still have to pay for a second bill? Thanks for any advice 😊

No, you just pay the first 30 days if you gave notice immediately.

If not, you have to pay for 30 days from the point you give notice.

Thank you. I’m disappointed because they didn’t tell me that, they just said I could leave after a month but not that I had to give notice there and then. Does this mean I can give 30 days notice and still use the month I have to pay for, ie July? Otherwise I will have to pay O2 and a new provider both in one month? I really appreciate your advice.

Yes of course you can use the full month of July.
Just tell them the date you want the airtime to end so you're ready to switch to the new network.

Great, thanks! If it wasn’t for the much cheaper deal I can get somewhere else I would stay with O2 just because of the community 👍
