Does the Wi-Fi control actually switch on or is it stuck in off?
If it switches on, do any networks actually display? If so, what error do you get (if any) when you try and connect or does it just stick on connecting?
Try these instructions to reset the networking furnctions (note your phone may momentarily report no service as this also causes the mobile network to be disconnected thus forcing a reauthentication with the mobile network)
Make sure you have your Wi-Fi password to hand
