Once your device is paid off you can switch to a cheaper SIM only tariff and continue to use your original phone

Switch to 20gb for £18.00 now and save yourself £22.00 a month.

@James2985 If this is an issue with your account you'll need to speak to customer service. We are all customers here. I suggest you call on 202 from your mobile. Don't use Live Chat for this. You might have a wait on hold at this time of day. Best time to call is 8-8.30 am to hopefully avoid that.

1 means you should be paying only the Airtime part of your bill, as device plan is Zero.
2 means you are on a combined tariff, that rolls over, with no "free" bolt-on as contract period is ended.
Either way, move as suggested by @MI5.

You were probably on a 3Gb + 9Gb "bonus" data tariff.
The extra only applied to your minimum term, which has now ended and so has your extra data.
Did you sign up via a 3rd party (carphone warehouse, mobiles.co.uk, etc)?
^^^ That exactly
As said, you need to go sim only for a better tariff and data.
