I upgraded my phone recently and I have just checked my bill and they are expecting me to pay £7 for VAT? Never had to do this on my old contract? Beginning to wish I had left O2 they are useless!

Vat is always charged but is inclusive in your tariff unless it's a business account. If this is your first bill since upgrading there may be an adjustment period.

If you check any of your old bills you will see that you have always been charged VAT, it's a government requirement.

The VAT element is shown as a breakdown item in your bill but when added to the tariff cost it will add up to the expected tariff fee.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
