When will 3G coverage improve in Cornwall?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Does anyone know when O2 will improve their 3G coverage in the Falmouth area? 2G is generally not too bad (though t-Mobile are better in my experience), but data speeds are awful (and again, T-Mobile are much better).

I've been with O2 for years, and don't want to leave. I'm due an upgrade, but I'm loathed to take out a 24 month contract if there's not going to be some improvement in connectivity. T-Mobile customer service is shocking, but at the end of the day, they provide a better service as it stands.

Thanks for the reply - are there an more specific dates out there? 'the end of 2015' is far too long to wait.

It's a shame, but it may be time to request my PA code... 😞

No o2 never say when upgrades will be happening.

Has 3g 900 come to any of your local areas? look at the coverage checker pages and toggle between 2g and 3g 900 and see if any areas locally have already been done.

My rural location now has a lot but no 3g 2100 (old 3g) just my local mast needs it now then 3g coverage will be in most places I need it (when no wifi)

Move to a different network that gives you good coverage. You can always come back later.

The 3G900 coverage is pretty sketchy - certainly the mast nearest me is not transmitting at that frequency. I don't know if the area nearest to me with 3G coverage was recently turned on; however, I think the coverage map's not changed in the last 8 months at least.

I'll be gutted to leave, but it's pointless paying for a service I can't use fully.

It's just plain common sense at the end of the day.
