Contracts only have a minimum term, if you don't upgrade, they just carry on.
If you have a refresh contract you stop paying the device plan and just carry on with the airtime.
If it's a standard contract, your payments don't change.
In both cases, you can upgrade to a sim only tariff and keep your phone to save money.
