My pay monthly contract is due for renewal 1st Aug. Have just bought an android phone privately and wish to change to Pay as You Go and keep my number. How do I go about this

I'm still on an O2 tariff, mainly because it's an old legacy one and I still have unlimited web, but I know I'm paying more than I would be on GiffGaff. I think I will eventually shift over to there, as when I do ever decide to upgrade my phone it will be sim free anyway. I think what I might do is get a £10 goodybag for a month and see how the coverage is before I port my number over. As you say, my coverage could be better or worse than yours, depending on where we are located and the type of phone we have.

The GiffGaff goodybags from £12 and up are all unlimited. As they run on the O2 network I don't see why the coverage should be any worse?

I know they shouldn't be different but they are.
Probably the GiffGaff Network getting saturated with people online, and some being naughty by connecting devices {my own personel opinion }

I also want to so something similar..
Ive moved abroard and only use my pay monthly when i come home. How can i change to pay as you go online? (i'm not sure i can ring the number from here -plus it might be v. expensive!)
