i am on 02 payg have unlimited cals and texts my husband also n 02 but went onto contract yest so when i call or text him why is it taking my credit help

If your unlimited payg tariff has remained unchanged then I have no idea why you are suddenly being charged for calls and texts. It seems weird that it has started to happen since your husband went onto contract.

The 24 hours is for the number to migrate across to the new platform, however, it can take a little longer in some cases.
If it's not corrected itself in a couple of days, speak to CS again. They will also credit you for anything you've spent contacting this number in the mean time.

Once his number has registered again on the system, speak to customer service and they will refund any charges.
