Hi Community,

 

I recently had my Volt added and all was fine. I then decided to upgrade my airtime and data plan which also went without a hitch .... well, sort of .. 

I now don't have the Volt benefit and therefore no double data added to my account. Its been 14 days since the change, I just wondered what my best course f action is .. should I ring customer services?

When you change tariff your Volt benefits drop off and are re-applied within 14 days.  From the help on this page:

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/virgin-media-o2-faqs#what-are-volt-benefits

Scroll down to "What happens to Volt benefits if I upgrade or change tariff?":

"When you upgrade or change a tariff on your O2 account, your Volt benefits will drop off temporarily. These benefits will be re-applied within 14 days."

Hi @Uncle_Albert - the Volt benefit should move to the new contract - Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255. Good luck!

Thanks All - I called O2 Customer Service as it had been 3 weeks almost since the change. In the first 3 months of being with O2 I've only had around a week of double data with Volt lol. The lady on the phone was fantastic and apologised profusely. She promptly added my benefit manually and all is resolved. It goes to show, you cant beat speaking to a human slight_smile and the help of a great community like this.
