Voicemail won’t work

Please help !!!

For some reason I can’t get voice mail on my phone or the missed call alerts. When I call the relevant 1750 number it says we could not activate your voicemail as we do not have your number. If I call 1710 to try and activate the missed call alert is also says it cannot be done as they do not have my number.
I’ve turned phone on and off. My numbers set up in iPhone. I’ve reset my network settings.
This has been going on for 7 months. I’ve been promised callback after callback from every dept going. Every time I’m promised it will be fixed in 24 hours. And it doesn’t happen.

When my phones off as in completely shut down and someone rings it they get a busy tone as if the phone is on and it’s engaged.

That sounds like the problem then. Your number isn’t associated with your account. Explain that to customer service when you call them.

@Nicnac You may have solved this yourself. Sounds like everything is going to your old number. You'll need to sort this with customer service.

Lol just called me inspector clueso ... I shall be back I think though they are useless when you call !
