Somebody said that they rang between 2am and 4am on Sunday 18th August. There was no voicemail and no missed call off this person. Could this have not come through due to a fault on the o2 network? And is there some other way of checking that they did ring?

Hi,
Are you 100% sure your voicemail is activated.
Dial 1750 to turn it on.
Dial 1760 to turn it off.
One way to check you are getting is Voicemail is ring yourself from another phone and let it kick in, then leave a message, and then attempt to listen to it.
You could dial 202 - Contract or 4445 - Payg to ensure all is Ok and if they can trace the call if its important.

They could have misdialled the number.

If there is nothing showing in your call logs or on voicemail and assuming there were no network outages, then the only other way to check would be to look at the logs on the phone of the person claiming to have called you.
Possibly dialled the wrong number? Did the person get the unobtainable message, voicemail or just ringing out?
