I've attempted to contact O2 re VAT Invoices for calls etc - despite requesting that VAT the bills are displaying VAT - it has not occurred. Trying to contact via the MyO2 app is pretty useless. Calling & eventually speaking with someone, and requesting this is applied to the account, again, just is not working. Call centre staff, may acknowledge and state they've updated the request, months later, i still find myself chasing O2 UK to get this actioned.
Anyone else, encountered this, and discovered an effective solution ?

For an organisation, to rely on social media, to deal with a legitimate customer enquiry, it's quite poor.
The outline suggestions, have not proven successful. It is without doubt, ridiculous, that O2 UK are incapable of actually undertaking a customer request. I cannot be the only person, who has found this question, and request, surprising and equally frustrating. AI controlled voice activation menus, which then place you on hold for more than 45 minutes, then an offshore call centre, whom fail to grasp what your question is, or act upon the request.
Just exactly how difficult is it, to obtain VAT details upon your own monthly bills?

I do not think that you will get any arguments from the regulars on this customer to customer community - O2's customer service standards have slipped recently.
Unfortunately, we are customers, we cannot access customer accounts and we cannot actually do anything to resolve the problem for you.
Unless you can resolve the issue with O2's customer service or social media teams, you are into the complaints' procedure. However, to investigate and respond to a complaint is currently taking O2 up to eight weeks and during that period, other team will be unable and unwilling to engage with you.

I've been trying for weeks to get a VAT invoice for an upgrade payment I made on my card. I'm on chat now and they are saying I need to get one from my bank!!!!

We're just customers like you but it sounds as if you need someone to access your account which can't be done from the forum

Yup, I've had the same issue since they stopped including a VAT breakdown on my bills. Called 3 times, spoke to via chat several times and email twice. Always get the same response, that they'll appear in my inbox or account within 24 hours... But never does! Wasted hours chasing this and getting really frustrated. Has anyone here had success getting a VAT receipts??
