VAT bill for air time and call time

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am finding it really difficult to get copies of previous air time and call time bills showing VAT.

They can be posted to me with a charge but why should I pay for these?

Why can't I download VAT bills or have them emailed to me?

I cannot be the only person who is having this problem.

I have tried using live chat but no joy.

There must be someone in the vastness of O2 who can email me what I pay for ?????

This is a statement made previously by O2 on the subject:

We don’t issue a VAT invoice on the device plans every month, the Refresh agreement is a credit agreement and unless it’s a business account we are not obliged to produce monthly VAT invoices. Customer services can complete a form to send out a device plan VAT invoice for a specific month but this needs to be requested by the customer each time they need it and will be sent via post.

A regular VAT invoice can be turned on by calling customer services for the airtime only, once the service is on the account the customer should then get the VAT invoice sent to them via post monthly.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

What is the difference between the two, air time and call time, @Anonymous?

I must try and get the VAT invoice option turned on again on my O2 account, I had it there before switching to Refresh in January.

So, a short call to 202 and the lady was able to switch VAT invoicing back on on the Airtime portion of my account. It will be interesting to see if it appears as shown below (was a bill from December last year, when VAT invoicing was still on (as was automatic billing to a Credit Card, also no longer possible, it seems!).

Good luck with yours!
