Hi,

Could anyone please shed some light on the above?

My questions are around service quality in comparison to buying directly from O2 ; for e.g

- Will O2 apply any throttling for uswitch acquired accounts?

- Are voice calls routed through the same VoLTE/5G infrastructure ?

- There is a credit check - so yes it will appear on the creditcard as a hard search

@Pvin

You are redirected to buy through the o2 website so they are exactly the same.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

yes, the difference is cost, you get 20GB for £8 via Uswitch. Need to shell out over double (£18) to get the same when buying direct + RPI increase is applied for both I believe

I'm aware of the cost difference but you asked about quality of the service, which is the same.

And yes, rpi increases will apply to both also.

I'm on the £8 for 20GB plan. For some reason  4 months in O2 offered 30GB for the same price as a tariff change.

Being on Volt I know get 60GB for my £8. 😀

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Thanks for the response @MI5 , so the only catch is the automatic 'rate switching' (to their current price plans applicable) after the initial 12months contract term?

@Pvin You asked if there was a hard credit search, I can confirm there is.

Nowhere in my paperwork does it say it will switch to the more expensive o2 rates after 12 months. But not a problem I'll take out another deal and migrate the number.
