Using phone in Madeira

Hello,

Does anyone know if o2 works in Madeira?  Also, does the new o2 travel pricing apply to Madeira (it lists Portugal but doesn't specify Madeira)?

O2 definitely works in Madeira and should be covered under O2 Travel as Portugal. It's a couple of years since I went (before O2 Tavel was launched) but the Portugal roaming rates applied whilst I was there.

I am going to Madeira in 2 weeks and have just spoken to an O2 Guru called Hamid via live chat, who has said... Madeira IS NOT covered under O2 Travel!!

Madeira is Portuguese and is covered by O2 Travel. Better calling 202 than getting misinformation from webchat.

I'm surprised that some of the advisors on Live Chat know where they are at times, never mind knowing where Madeira is!
