Using a different phone

Hello guys,

Quick question for you. I understand that I can't upgrade my phone through o2 until the end of my contract, however, if I buy a phone sim free before then, can I put the sim card that came with my contract into the new phone and use it as normal?

Also, am I fine to get rid of my old phone, or do I have to give it back to o2 at the end of my contract or something?

Yes to both questions.

You just carry on the contract with your new phone and the old phone is yours to do with as you wish.
