I have a O2 Pay Monthly contract.

If I buy a Pay as you Go O2 phone on the high street (some are cheaper than O2 direct), can I just transfer my O2 Pay Monthly sim into the Pay as you Go O2 phone, with no problems.

Just ditch the Pay as you Go sim.

Yes.

Pay attention to sim card size. If the one you choose takes a different size then just ask for a blank contract SIM card in the O2 shop and they will transfer your number and tariff over for you.

Yes it should be as simple as that.

Some settings may need to be changed but putting in the pay monthly sim should do it

Bear in mind that you often have to top up a PAYG sim when buying a PAYG handset. If you do you may want to use the credit up yourself, or give the sim to a family member to use
