Hi,

I know very little about smartphone tech, so please forgive this very basic question...

I currently use a very old smartphone and want to upgrade to a new phone with lots more internal memory. I am happy with my existing O2 sim deal, so would like to continue with that.

When browsing through the thousands of phones on Amazon, there are various terms used (sim-free, locked, unlocked...), and I am unsure what I should/shouldn't be considering.

Am I right in thinking I need to buy a 'sim-free' phone that meets my requirements, then simply insert the sim card from my old phone?

Many thanks for any help!

You can choose any phone described as "sim free", "unlocked" or "locked to O2 network" and yes, then just simply insert your current sim card if the same size.

If a different size is required, any O2 shop will swap it for free.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
