Upgrading from sim only deal to phone and sim package

I currently have a sim I my deal but want to now upgrade to a plan with a sim and device. My question is will my i need to cancel my SIM only contract before signing a new contract?

Hi @Paxton,

No, you won't need to cancel. As soon as you upgrade your sim only to a device plan, this will terminate your old contract.

Everything will change over almost immediately and you have the same billing date. I would advise you to use the same sim unless you are getting a 5G enabled phone. Only change sim if you are in a 5G area though.
